Chickenpox
Chickenpox is a contagious disease caused by a virus and spreads slowly to birds. The virus is transmitted to birds by injuring the skin of birds or the membranes of the mouth. There are two types of the virus.Smallpox of a dry or skin smallpox of the other throat.
This reduces the death rate of birds but significantly reduces the production of eggs and weakens the chickens.
Smallpox of the skin usually appears on the scalp and other bare parts of the body. Before the symptoms of the disease appear, the birds become sluggish. Tiny yellow rashes appear on the earlobes and other bare parts. Which together make the skin rough.
The second type of smallpox is smallpox in the mouth. These blisters combine to form a yellow membrane that is visible in the throat. This makes it difficult for the bird to eat and breathe. It causes death . Sometimes there is a rash on the nose and eyes which causes pus. There is no definite cure for this disease. Hygiene is also very important. Keep sick birds separate and bury dead birds.
Because the disease is spread by throwing dead birds in the open.
