Introduction :

Inflammation of the uterus in goats, also known as Metritis or commonly known as Uterine Infection, is a life-threatening condition that is an inflammation of the lining of the uterus that often occurs in goats after childbirth. And if not treated in time, the goat will not be able to give birth again and may die of a serious illness.

Symptoms:

The goat has the following symptoms:

- A thick red and white discharge from the urinary tract, which also has a strong odour.

- Excessive bleeding of the goat from time to time after giving birth.

- Stop eating goat food.

- Sit to one side sadly.

- Intermittent pressure as if trying to get something out.

- Frequent urination.

- Falling body temperature.

- Too much weakness, etc.

Reasons:

- Premature birth or abortion of a goat.

- Do not drop the semen completely after the birth of children.

- Trapping and pulling the baby out during birth.

- Chasing a goat in the last month of pregnancy which is also called (prolapse) due to the germs reaching the uterus etc.

Rescue:

- After the birth of the child, add goat and celery coffee and salt to the goat so that it can easily remove the semen.

Treatment :

If a goat gets this disease, it is very important to treat it immediately because if the inflammation spreads too much, the goat can die in three days.

If it is not possible to go to the doctor or hospital, take one of these two injections by weight for three days:

Oxytetracycline (Oxtra LA + Ketoprofen) Or Procaine Penicillin (Streptomet + Meloxicam)
