The original homeland of the sahiwal cattle breed is the Sahiwal, Faisalabad, and Jhang districts of the Punjab province. Due to its good and superior qualities, it has spread throughout Pakistan and especially in Sargodha, Mianwali, Leh, Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Khushab, and Matha.
